We recently had the chance to connect with Tania Ceasar and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Tania , thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
I started a women’s Bible study back in February. After the first session, I became very ill, which caused the study to pause until I recovered. Recently, we’ve resumed the studies, and the group has started to grow. Additionally, I’ve incorporated food, which in itself has made the evenings more enjoyable. Each week, I look forward to coming together with these incredible women—hearing their stories, creating space for transparency, fellowshipping, building relationships, and diving deeper into the Word of God together. This has brought such a bright light into my life.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Tania Ceasar. I’m a daughter of the one true living God—a wife, a mother to five children, and recently, a new grandmother. I’m 36 years old and currently reside in Southern Maryland. I recently graduated from UMGC with a bachelor’s degree in Communications and a minor in English.
In December 2024, I published my first book, From the Pit to the Peak, which is available on Amazon. This book is a biography of my early life as a child and young adult, detailing the struggles I faced while trying to fill the void of depression and loneliness through abusive relationships. These defiant choices ultimately led me to Christ—a turning point that completely changed the trajectory of my life.
Over the past few years, my heart has been drawn to serving teens and young adult women who are battling mental health challenges, domestic abuse, and suicidal ideation. My mission is to lead them into a realm of healing and purpose through the guidance of the Holy Spirit This mission is unique because it is filled with hope, driven by intention and purpose—meaning your life will begin to produce fruit that is beneficial both in this life and beyond. As a result, you will find yourself deeply intertwined with your God-given destiny.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
The turning point for me came during one of the darkest seasons of my life—a time when I was fighting, quite literally, for my life each day while battling a severe form of depression. It was beyond debilitating. There were days I truly believed I might die from a downcast spirit. I never knew it was possible to lose control over my emotions until I was faced with an overwhelming wave of extreme anxiety, fear, sadness, and physical distress that consumed my entire body.
And yet, it was in that very pit that I discovered my purpose—the one God had intended for me all along. I would never have fully understood it without enduring that grim and painful battle. Emerging from that darkness, I no longer recognized the woman I had been before. There was a shift. An evolution that formed. I had grown. I had found strength I never knew existed in me. Beforehand, I was mostly timid and rigid. But now, God has begun a new thing—one that is springing forth. And I have never felt more powerful. My life has never been the same.
While still in the midst of suffering, I began to serve. I laid hands on the sick and before my eyes, witnessed their healing. I prayed for strangers I felt led to approach in random places. I heard from the Holy Spirit in ways I never had before, and I began having prophetic dreams on a level that was entirely new to me.
I also became a passionate advocate for those struggling with depression and suicidal ideation. That passion led me to enter my first state pageant—which I won—and ultimately took me to the national stage. I made numerous public speaking appearances, using my platform to promote mental wellness. During that time, I also launched a small natural hair and skin care business and began writing From the Pit to the Peak, my first book.
I didn’t wait to be fully healed to take action. I pursued these callings while still fighting to be whole. And eventually, I was. That is what real power looks like.
What’s something you changed your mind about after failing hard?
I changed my mind about finishing my degree after initially failing—hard—because I didn’t buckle down or take my education seriously. It wasn’t until I overcame the depths of severe depression, anxiety, and fear that I realized I needed to finish what I had started. Once I returned to school, I created a structured academic schedule that helped me stay focused and accountable. It was extremely challenging, yet thrilling all at once. That’s when I learned that hard is good.
Success doesn’t come easily—nor should it. Challenges shape our character. They build discipline, work ethic, optimism, forbearance, and endurance. Most importantly, they establish faith—and without faith, there is no hope. So, embrace the idea of hardship. It’s often the very thing that refines us.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
What you see is what you get—and the people who know me would agree. That said, I believe there are many sides to me. At my core, I am deeply in love with Jesus Christ. That’s absolutely what you’ll see when you encounter me, and I say that with complete humility.
Depending on who I’m around, you might also see my goofiness, my shyness, my fun side, my passionate side, my serious side, or even my more conservative side. But one thing you will never get from me is a mask—I’ve never worn one well. If I don’t like something, it shows on my face. If I don’t agree with something, I won’t go along with it just to keep the peace.
I’ve always marched to the beat of my own drum. I’m not a people pleaser. I love deeply, extremely transparent, yet flawed and imperfect—but what you see in public is who I am behind the scenes.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people tell my story as one of victory—a life lived through the lens of an overcomer. It is only because I’ve been grafted into the family of overcomers through Jesus Christ that I’ve been given the strength to be a winner. A fighter. Someone who had no choice but to rise to the occasion.
I want people to know about my deep, astonishing love for the Lord and the unwavering determination I’ve put into living out His purpose for my life. I want them to understand that my life was never my own—it has always belonged to Him. And with Him, all things are possible.
I want people to know my story, to see my struggles, and to understand that they, too, can accomplish anything aligned with their God-given purpose. I want them to be inspired, convicted, and drawn to repentance. I want them to find hope—and more than anything, I desire for them to find Jesus.
