We’re looking forward to introducing you to Anthony Weaver. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Anthony, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What are you chasing, and what would happen if you stopped?
I’m chasing financial abundance. If I stop, I risk reliving the hunger and struggle of my childhood, when I often had to be innovative just to eat. I vowed never to experience those moments again.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Anthony Weaver and I’m the creator and host of the About That Wallet podcast. My journey started long before the podcast, back when I was a kid trying to make it through nights when food was scarce. Those moments, eating syrup sandwiches or buttered toast for dinner, taught me resilience, resourcefulness, and the importance of financial security. They also shaped my vow to help others avoid the struggles I went through.
Today, my work focuses on the Sandwich Generation, people like me who are balancing the responsibility of caring for both their parents and their children. Through my podcast, financial coaching, and live workshops, I provide practical tools that make money less intimidating and more accessible. What makes my brand unique is that I’m not speaking from theory. I’m speaking from lived experience and the determination to turn pain into purpose.
I believe money isn’t just about numbers. It’s about freedom, confidence, and legacy. That’s why I focus on helping families build strong financial foundations, protect what they love, and talk openly about money. At the end of the day, my mission is simple. To empower everyday people to move from survival mode to building the lives they truly deserve.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
One word: communication.
It’s the foundation of every relationship, and it has the power to make or break them. You can agree to disagree on topics, but what matters most is being clear and honest. Communication lets you protect your peace by telling people what you need upfront instead of hiding it.
It means expressing your expectations, your desires, your boundaries, your likes, and your dislikes. When communication is healthy, it can restore broken bonds by allowing space for clarity, accountability, and understanding. Taking ownership of miscommunication and being willing to talk it through is often the first step toward rebuilding trust and connection.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
You are loved even when it doesn’t feel like it.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
Pastries and finding the joy in darkness.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people say that I lived life to the fullest and helped others feel confident in themselves. That I loved to laugh at just about anything, even though I couldn’t sing or dance to save my life. That I was always willing to try something at least once, lend a helping hand when I could, and that above all, I was a good friend.
