We’re looking forward to introducing you to Alyssa Unowitz. Check out our conversation below.
Alyssa, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
A recent moment that I feel proud of is the decision I have made to go back to school and finish my master’s degree in early childhood education at The University of Arizona Global Campus. With the classes held online it makes it much easier to fit into my everyday life in order to fulfill this goal I have had for myself for years.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I have always wanted to make an impact in the world, whether it be through education or through advocacy for others. Over the last few years, I have started to use social media more in hopes I can build a sense of community through my content and be a voice for others. I myself struggle with mental health so I know how lonely it can feel or how frustrating when you think no one understands what you are going through. Remember you are not alone!
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
In all honesty, I would have to say the relationship between myself and I. I have struggled for years with understanding who I truly am, what makes me happy, likes or dislikes, and so much more. Over the last year, I have worked extremely hard to find ways to love myself, feel comfortable being alone, and knowing that I am worthy. One of the most important relationships in life is the one with yourself.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Do not let anyone ever makes you feel less than.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
Advocating for children and the struggles they may face in this world.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
I think customers would miss my bubbly personality the most.
