Roxanne Ramsey of Baltimore on Life, Lessons & Legacy

Roxanne Ramsey shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Roxanne, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What do you think others are secretly struggling with—but never say?
I believe most struggle with authenticity. Many people hide parts of themselves out of of judgment, embarrassment, or not being enough. Really, no one has life figured out. We’re all just trying. Authenticity isn’t about being perfect, it’s about being who you are. And when you’re real, you create space for others to be real too. Connection lives in presence.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a feminine wellness creator and influencer breaking the silence around vaginal health. After years of struggling with recurring Bacterial Vaginosis (BV), I began sharing my journey on social media, opening up about BV, yeast infections, and other common yet often misunderstood vaginal health issues. Through research and personal experience, I discovered the root causes of my recurring infections and learned how to support my body’s natural balance. Now, I use my platform to educate and create a safe space for women and girls to talk openly about topics often considered taboo like sex, infections, periods, and more.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
Heartbreak and recurring vaginal infections were a significant chapter in my life and journey. I believe that experience has fulfilled its purpose, and I’m now ready to release the emotions connected to it. Although I’ve grown a platform from it and I remain a dedicated advocate for feminine wellness and health, I have healed tremendously since facing those challenges.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could talk to my younger self, I’d tell her, you’ve grown up to be everything you wanted to be. I’ve always wanted to be a version of Carrie Bradshaw, someone who shares her experiences openly and honestly with the world. I’ve dreamed of having a platform that reaches others, creating a space where women feel seen, heard, and supported. So be gentle with yourself and know that everything you are is on purpose.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a belief you used to hold tightly but now think was naive or wrong?
A belief I held tightly to is believing that men held the power. With age, Ive learned the power of being a woman and the importance of self identity outside of relationship. Live life on my terms and doing the things I love is my focus in my lifetime.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people share my reality and not the version of me they created. I hope they share moments where I truly impacted them. It doesn’t have to be anything huge or dramatic, just the ways I showed up, made them laugh, helped them through something, or created a moment they’ll always remember.
