Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My entrepreneurial journey began with Blooming Party Services, where I focused on creating beautiful celebrations for families and special events. Through this business, I provided party décor, balloons, and event setups, helping clients bring their visions to life.
As I continued working in the events industry, many clients began asking if I also provided wedding flowers. I started designing floral arrangements for weddings and special occasions, and quickly discovered a deep passion for floral design. What started as a small addition to my services soon grew into something much bigger.
Seeing the demand for high-quality floral designs inspired me to open my own flower shop. That vision became Bloom Luxury Box, a space dedicated to elegant floral arrangements, weddings, and special events.
Today, the business has grown beyond what I originally imagined. We now proudly operate two flower shop locations and also run the Glam Spa Party Bus, a unique mobile spa experience designed to bring fun and celebration to children’s parties and special events.
What started as a simple idea—to create beautiful celebrations—has grown into multiple businesses dedicated to helping people celebrate life’s most meaningful moments. I’m grateful for the journey, the amazing team that supports the vision, and the wonderful clients who trust us to be part of their special occasions.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Obstacles & Challenges
The journey has definitely not been a completely smooth road. Like many entrepreneurs, building my businesses came with many challenges and learning experiences along the way.
In the beginning, one of the biggest challenges was starting with limited resources. I had to learn many aspects of the business on my own—from design and customer service to managing finances, marketing, and operations. Growing a business while constantly learning and improving required a lot of dedication and long hours.
Another challenge has been balancing growth while maintaining quality service. As the demand for our services increased—especially with weddings, events, and daily flower orders—it became important to build the right team and create systems that keep everything running smoothly.
There have also been moments of uncertainty, especially when expanding the business, opening new locations, or investing in new ideas like the Glam Spa Party Bus. Each step required taking risks and believing in the long-term vision.
Despite the challenges, every obstacle has been a valuable lesson. They have helped me grow not only as a business owner but also as a leader. Those experiences are what continue to push me to improve, innovate, and build businesses that create beautiful experiences for our clients.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Before becoming an entrepreneur, I worked in the dental field. I lived in New York City
After meeting my husband, I moved to Maryland. My husband is a business owner in the construction industry, and watching his leadership, dedication, and work ethic inspired me to pursue my own entrepreneurial path. Seeing how he built and managed his business motivated me to start something of my own.
That inspiration led me to create my first company, Blooming Party Services, where I began providing décor and event services for celebrations. Through working with events, I started designing wedding flowers, and quickly discovered a passion for floral design.
Over time, that passion grew into opening my own flower shop, Bloom Luxury Box. Today, the business has expanded, and I now operate two flower shop locations along with the Glam Spa Party Bus, a unique mobile spa experience for children’s parties and special celebrations.
My journey has been shaped by hard work, creativity, and the inspiration I received from my husband’s example as a business owner. Today, I continue to grow my businesses with the goal of creating beautiful experiences and memorable moments for our community.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I believe that building a business always involves a certain level of risk, but for me it has always been about taking calculated risks with a clear vision. I don’t see risk as something negative—I see it as a necessary step for growth and opportunity.
One of the biggest risks I took was leaving the stability of traditional employment and starting my own business. When I first launched Blooming Party Services, I didn’t know exactly how far it could grow, but I believed in the idea and in my ability to work hard and learn along the way.
Another major risk was opening a flower shop and investing in a physical location. A storefront requires significant commitment, including rent, inventory, staff, and daily operations. It was a big step, but I believed there was a strong opportunity to create a unique floral brand focused on quality and design.
Later, expanding the business further—operating two flower shop locations and launching the Glam Spa Party Bus—also required taking bold steps and trusting the vision for the future.
For me, risk is about believing in your vision, being willing to work through challenges, and continuously learning. Every risk I have taken has also brought new opportunities, and those experiences have helped me grow both as a business owner and as a person.
