Today we’d like to introduce you to Ursula Thornton.
Hi Ursula, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
I started a non-invasive Med Spa in Randallstown where I provide non-invasive treatments for individuals who would like to enhance their body appearance.
Thankfully, I have been in business throughout the pandemic and have met so many wonderful people trying to accomplish the same thing by improving their health and feeling good about themselves.
I also mentor and train individuals who would like to become a spa owner by inviting them to take my course and let me teach them to become an entrepreneur. I love helping people I have a history of nursing and mostly meeting new people. Once I see the happiness of clients’ results and their dedication it makes me feel good.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
In the beginning, it was a little tough but through praying and faith I kept going. I never gave up I’ll never give up. I love what I do. I would love to expand however in due time it’s tough business has its ups and downs but you have to keep pushing. Everyone doing the same thing competition is tough but customer service is important. Respect and respect speak volumes.
You must find a way to keep your clients coming back. It’s not about the money in the beginning a lot of people talked about me being on Groupon which takes partial of your money however it brought clientele and gave me exposure it paid the bills.
To this day, I still use Groupon and lots of people use it as well reducing their prices so people go where is cheaper the customer service isn’t pleasant but I keep going because I know it’s going to all work out. What’s for me is for me. Respectfully.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a licensed aesthetician, and I’ve been in the medical/nursing field for over 30 years. I’m very proud of my dedication not giving up on myself and keep going sink or swim.
What sets me apart is having a diverse experience with many cultures with my customer service skills. Building a relationship with my clients during a consultation and getting to know their expectations this is the time we laugh talk cry and listen like an old friendship.
Making each other feel comfortable. Me being very transparent understanding flexible with scheduling and accommodations.
Risk-taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Life is a risk. You must take risks if you don’t how do you know if you’re going to be successful or not it’s nothing one can’t do if they don’t try… being comfortable in space will have you missing out on so many opportunities that God has for you. Take that leap GO for it.
