Hi Seleh, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My story started in 1975 in Baltimore, MD. I was age 19, walking into a grocery store I meet my angel Mr. Jessie Little, spoke to me how you doing my friend and the word for today is development, I said what? Develop your mind, find your purpose, but I can not read or write, then learn, so I was able to get into an off band college named Bay College of Maryland, I needed to pick a schedule for my class, to my surprise I saw fashion classes, to me it meant wearing fashion clothes and I loved fashion, however when I attended my class my teacher Mrs. Selena Thomas said that we would be making clothing, I made a big mistake! I thought this was a fashion class? No, we construct garments. I was about to leave, she eases me down and let me know I would be ok after she show me the name of the sewing machine and how to begin using it, my first project was a lady skirt and measurements after I completed my first skirt, I knew I have found my niche and made up my mind to create my own job, and never to look back and feel in love with my new lady sewing, my friend Jessie would say stay the course, through my sacrifice I am now one of The best Furrier Tailor Designer In the business of fashion, 46 years later I m still full of life and my creativity is fun, Study in Paris France, Italy England, North Africa and USA My Experience, Restying Fur, Alterations, dressmaking designing, patterns making, leather repairs, tailoring, and still a baby.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Start out working out of a condemned building and being patiently waiting to move forward, learning to read and write, putting the time in and to believe it would pay off with the help of My God, some of my early Obstacles and challenges to meet good people for guidance.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My ability to offer Tailoring, Fur Restying, and Alterations and Bridemaids dress service all is one house, and to provide special service one on one, and 46 years in business.
How do you define success?
I define success when I have completely satisfied my customer’s unexpected work that many business turns them away and my ability to meet their fashion needs, and The word of mouth just move your life forward and having a wonderful attitude to everyone, that success in one of its highest levels.
