Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Jones.
Hi Sarah, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My name is Sarah, and I am the founder and lead planner of I Got A Love Jones Events, a full-service wedding and event planning company. Growing up as the middle child in a family of five, I was always surrounded by celebrations, milestones, and moments that needed planning and creativity—naturally shaping my passion for organization and design.
After completing graduate school and moving to the metropolitan area, I sought a creative outlet that would bring balance, purpose, and joy into my life. That passion evolved into the launch of I Got A Love Jones Events. I planned my first wedding in July 2024, and since then the company has grown tremendously.
We have expanded our services to include certified civil celebrancy and have built a curated inventory of rental items such as linens, napkins, arches, chargers, and more. Since our start, we have planned and officiated numerous weddings, coordinated a destination wedding in Mexico, and are now proudly booking couples into 2026 and 2027.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been a smooth road for the most part. Of course planning weddings comes with speed bumps but we pride ourselves on being able to troubleshoot any issue. This biggest challenge to date is one of my bride’s dress wouldn’t zip. But nothing a few safety pins and faith couldn’t fix!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We specialize in weddings but love to plan any event. We are known for building relationships. No matter what package a client books us for we keep an extremely open line of communication. I am most proud of the destination weddings I am currently planning and the one we planned May 2025. Destination weddings are a lot to plan. It’s not just the wedding, it’s the travel logistics, and making sure guests have what they need. It’s such a challenge but we accept it!
I believe what sets us apart is that our lead planner is a counselor. Weddings bring big feelings and sometimes we have to sit with our clients and get them grounded and ready to get down the aisle!
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Resiliency. I have experienced significant personal loss, including the passing of my parents and my beloved niece. Moving through those difficult seasons has strengthened my ability to remain grounded, adaptable, and composed in any situation. That resilience carries into my work, allowing me to navigate challenges with grace and provide steady support to my clients no matter what arises. Also, being a wife and mom forces me to have a certain level of patience and compassion!
