Hello, my name is Mya, and I’m a 24-year-old digital content creator born in Washington, D.C., and raised in Baltimore County. I graduated from Morgan State University, where I cultivated a passion for creativity and innovation. With a strong interest in creative directing, modeling, and marketing, I enjoy blending my artistic vision with strategic thinking to create engaging digital content. Whether behind the camera or in front of it, I am always exploring new ways to express my creativity and connect with others.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like many, my journey hasn’t been without its challenges. Growing up in Baltimore County, I faced the pressures of balancing school, work, and personal aspirations, all while navigating a competitive world that often felt overwhelming. With losing friends and family members, the transition from student to professional was particularly tough, as I worked to carve out my own path in the creative industry. At times, self-doubt crept in, and there were moments where I questioned whether I could truly make a mark in fields like creative directing, modeling, and marketing. But through perseverance, I learned to embrace failure as a stepping stone and took every setback as an opportunity for growth. The process has been far from easy, but each challenge has only strengthened my resolve and fueled my passion to continue pursuing my dreams.

In addition to my creative pursuits, I am a dedicated registered behavioral therapist specializing in behavioral redevelopment and reduction. With a passion for helping individuals achieve positive change, I work closely with clients to develop strategies that promote growth and improve well-being. My career in therapy allows me to make a meaningful impact by guiding individuals through behavioral challenges and supporting them in their journey toward personal development. Alongside this, I am also a digital content creator and marketing specialist, where I combine my creativity and analytical skills to craft compelling content and effective marketing strategies. By blending my expertise in both behavioral therapy and digital marketing, I am able to bridge the gap between emotional well-being and creative expression, helping others thrive in both personal and professional realms.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
Over the next 10 to 15 years, I aim to continue expanding my professional horizons. One of my primary goals is to earn my Ph.D. in a field that deepens my knowledge and expertise in behavioral therapy, allowing me to make an even greater impact in the lives of those I work with. I also aspire to establish my own behavioral consulting business, where I can offer specialized services to individuals and organizations, helping them navigate behavioral challenges and implement effective strategies for growth and improvement. By combining my passion for behavioral health with my entrepreneurial spirit, I hope to create a thriving business that empowers clients to achieve lasting change while advancing the field as a whole.
