Rising Stars: Meet Melodee Pryce

Today we’d like to introduce you to Melodee Pryce.

Hi Melodee, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve been singing for as long as I can remember. Everyone in my family sings. After college, I went overseas to Asia. My career started on an International level. Over the last nine years, I’ve been a freelance musician traveling all over the world. I’ve performed on 5 of the 7 continents.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The pandemic slowed me down considerably. It brought me to Arlington where I’ve had to start over completely. It’s taken me a year to reach my stride here in the states. It has not been easy as I literally knew no one when I came here.

I just recently performed at Florida Jerk Festival in Orlando, so even though my home is in Arlington I’m getting to branch out and share my gift all over the states.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am an international singer and I’ve recently recently put out an afrobeat album entitled “Episode Love”. Available on all streaming platforms.

I’m known for my energetic stage presence which I believe sets me apart. That, and my ability to connect with every kind of audience. I’m proficient in several genres and I sing in over 5 languages. Whether it’s switching up the genre or language that I sing in, I have a little something for everybody!

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
The best way to connect with me is through social media. Specifically Instagram. My handle is: Melodee876 You can communicate to my email from my Instagram as well. I post upcoming shows, pics, videos, and merchandise.
