Rising Stars: Meet Lost Tribes Tattoos

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lost Tribes Tattoos.

Hello Lost Tribes Tattoos, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
We REALLY started from the mud, The original three met at an old shop that was going under, the only way to not go under ourselves was to start our own shop. Which we had no clue how to do, but we knew first things first we needed to find a location. Our first location was so small it could only fit us. As we started to grow and make a name for ourselves with our tattoos and awards from expos, we had to add artists to help with all the traffic. Luckily by the time that we started to bust out of the seams of our small shop a bigger spot on the other side of our building opened up! I honestly think we were meant to be here; we were meant to bring all the “Lost Tribes” or “Lost Souls” together. We are all outsiders ourselves, so we feel like we are home to all!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been smooth sailing ALL the way, but after learning the ropes I think we have done a pretty great job at keeping everything together. I think the biggest struggle is just trying to earn and get the respect and recognition that we think we deserve.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We have a tattoo artist for every style, that’s one of the things I think we are most proud of. Anything you can think of we have an artist for. From cover-ups to Traditional to Realism, we can make your dream tattoos a reality. Even if you don’t know exactly what you want from your tattoo, we have ACTUAL artists that can create a custom and unique piece just for you. We aren’t just copycats that trace images from books. We hate doing so, but no matter what you are looking to get we can get it done!

What were you like growing up?
We were all outsiders just trying to fit in. We all had a great artistic ability growing up, but never knew what to do with it. We had all tried different paths yet couldn’t stay away from creative thoughts. I think it’s safe to say we all took a chance on tattooing. More so to have an out for our creative juices, but of course to make a living and support our families.
