Rising Stars: Meet Julie Miltenberger of Mount Airy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Julie Miltenberger

Hi Julie , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was working at dental office and was really miserable working there for about 5 years, and I just up and quit one day without a plan. I have always loved cleaning and keeping a clean home so when I didn’t have a job one of my mom’s friends ask if I would help her clean for a little bit and give me a little money and it just kinda snowballed from there of me starting my own business. In February I will be in business for 6 years and have about 50 regular clients

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I started my business feb of 2019. My first year went really well was growing at a nice pace and then march 2020 came and the world closed. I lost probably about 1/2 my clients at the time from people not wanting me in there homes. I was essential and could still work but that didn’t matter to some. It was hard watching what all I worked so hard for just kinda fall apart but once things started opening back up the last thing people wanted to do it seemed was stay home and clean there houses so business started really picking up and hasn’t slowed down since

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We do residential and commercial cleanings. Anything from weekly, biweekly, monthly’s or one time jobs. That includes regular cleanings, deep cleanings, we also work with several realtors in the area and do cleanings for their clients to get there houses ready to go on the market. I’m proud of how many clients I have cause that shows the hard work and time I put into my business.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
