Rising Stars: Meet DJ Que Eleven

Today we’d like to introduce you to DJ Que Eleven.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Growing up on the south side of Chicago watching my cousins form a singing group and I saw how exciting the music industry was and how it became a part of everyday life for them I knew that I wanted to do something in music not sing or rap but really have role that allows me to control the soundtrack and the vibe of a room or crowd so I decided I would study music and practice my craft. I briefly intern with DJ Gemini at 93.9 WKYS he taught me the basics and what I really should use and what’s industry standard. I was attending Bowie State University at the time I was one of the radio personalities on WBSU 90.5 I interviewed local artists and state delegates. I began my broadcast career on Bowie States campus. I would connect with talented artists like Wale, Mya, Tabi Bonney, SyceGame, and Charles Jean-Pierre.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road was not always smooth I wouldn’t really call them struggles just growing pains. As any Artist or creative you create bodies of work that you want the world to gravitate towards but you have these voices telling you to make your work better keep practicing and sometimes perfect is not perfect to you so you have to know when to let a project breathe and when to release it to the world, I guess you can say I just want to create the best work ever no matter what.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in live performance, producing music, writing music/poetry, and creating digital content highlighting artist on many different television and radio platforms. I’m proud of my latest release which so happens to be a book Eclectic Dreams it debuted at #1 on Amazon. Currently getting ready for my album Lionheart to drop on my label One44music this year. What sets me apart is that I just do me I don’t have any boundaries for my creativity or projects I just create and have fun with it we only live once I just want to inspire the next person.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson that I have learned is to never give up.
