Brittany, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey with art and storytelling began long before Cherished Blooms Photography. I studied at Atlantic Cape Community College and Cape May Technical High School, where I nurtured my creativity and began to see the world through both color and light.
I’ve always been passionate about painting, photography, and romance—all expressions of beauty that capture emotion in their own way. Photography became my greatest love, a way to preserve fleeting moments and turn them into timeless keepsakes.
When I’m not behind the lens, I find inspiration in the simple joys of life: the gentle elegance of flowers, the quiet companionship of my two beloved cats, Sparrow and Raven, and the endless stories of love that surround us.
Cherished Blooms Photography is the heart of my creative journey, a place where every photograph is more than an image; it is a memory, a love story, a bloom that never fades.
I approach photography with patience, heart, and a love for storytelling. Every session is crafted to capture genuine emotions and the beauty in life’s fleeting moments. I focus on creating a relaxed, joyful atmosphere where couples, families, and pets feel cherished and at ease.
Through careful observation, gentle guidance, and an eye for the delicate details—like a soft glance, a playful paw, or a blooming flower—I transform ordinary moments into timeless memories. My goal is to preserve the essence of each story, so every photograph reflects not just an image, but the feelings, personalities, and connections that make life extraordinary.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I started photography feeling nervous but full of passion and excitement for the future. Balancing photography with working and going to school full-time, while moving several times between Pennsylvania and New Jersey, was challenging, so it hasn’t always been a smooth road. Despite these challenges, photography gave me the opportunity to see the beauty in the world and inspired me to keep moving forward.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My photography is inspired by the beauty of florals, wildlife, pets, couples, and everyday moments. I currently specialize in floral, wildlife, and pet photography, while my biggest goal is to become a wedding photographer. I want to capture natural, fun, and genuine moments that tell a couple’s story. I also dream of being a stay-at-home mom, nurturing and photographing my own children while sharing that same joy with other couples and families. Through my photography, I want to create memories that feel genuine, joyful, and timeless.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
One of my favorite childhood memories was being part of my high school yearbook committee. I was also part of a trade program where I learned advertising, design, and commercial art. Those experiences allowed me to explore my creativity and sparked my love for visual storytelling.
