Today we’d like to introduce you to Arquena, Arkena, Angie, Antwanette Dailey.
Hi Arquena, Arkena, Angie, Antwanette , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Our Dailey Enterprise LLC / Dailey Prep Boutique Journey
Back in 2008, my three blood sisters and also sorority sisters and I attended our national conference together in washington DC for the first time as legacies with our mother. We were excited, proud, and of course, wanted to show up polished and professional and in matching outfits. However, we ran into a problem: we couldn’t find a single business blazer that fit the look we were going for in our sorority colors. At that time, blazers available were too long or the materials were heavy and definitely not giving what it needed to give for pink and green legacy style!
That experience sparked an idea to all of us. So, we decided to create our own: a feminine-cut, prep school-inspired blazer in our sorority colors—something we could wear to conferences, chapter meetings, and special events that still felt elegant and unique. And just like that, Dailey Prep was born.
We started small, selling our signature blazers online and at some local meetups. Over time, our customers kept asking for more sizes, and the inventory went fast. Since then, we have renewed our blazer inventory and have also added more statement pieces to the brand. Now we have clothing that reflects Black culture, mindfulness, and sisterhood. So we grew. We moved to a digital storefront, expanded our offerings, and stayed rooted in our mission to inspire health, wealth, and legacy through fashion.
Today, Dailey Prep isn’t just a boutique—it’s a celebration of identity, intention, and style. We design pieces that speak to where we come from and where we’re headed. And we’re just getting started.
Thank you for being part of the journey.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Some struggles we’ve recently had have been dealing with the tariffs imposed, and others are starting to create items very similar to ours!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At Dailey Prep Boutique, we design bold, intentional apparel rooted in Black culture, sisterhood, and legacy. We specialize in feminine-cut, preppy blazers—especially our signature pink and green style—that blend timeless structure with meaningful symbolism. Our pieces are made for the woman who values tradition but leads with confidence and individuality.
We’re most proud of the community we’ve built—what started as a solution for four legacy sorority sisters has grown into a movement of women who show up with purpose and pride. Every item we design is more than fashion—it’s a conversation starter, a legacy piece, and a symbol of self-love and empowerment.
What sets us apart is our commitment to mindfulness and message—we don’t just sell clothes, we promote a lifestyle centered on health, wealth, and sisterhood. From our carefully tailored blazers to our growing apparel line, everything we offer is designed to uplift, inspire, and reflect the excellence in our community
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
When we first started Dailey Prep, we were just trying to solve a problem for ourselves. We had no idea it would grow into something that would resonate with so many other women. There were moments of doubt, setbacks, and growing pains, but each challenge reminded us that purpose-driven work requires patience, faith, and community.
I’ve learned that when your mission is rooted in authenticity and service, the right people will find you. And more than anything, I’ve realized that legacy isn’t just what you leave behind, it’s what you live out every day, through your values, your voice, and your vision.
