Myranda, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
My 10-year-old son always makes me laugh. More recently, we went on a trip and laughed the entire time over the silliest things!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am a full-time Realtor with Compass. I am licensed in MD and DC. I studied broadcast journalism in college, and worked as a TV reporter for 12 years prior to real estate. I’m slowly working my way back in front of a camera, through my Whistling Realtor videos! I love to whistle and I love real estate. Why not show off both?
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
Tubing on the Snake River in Idaho. I lived there for a year and it was a culture shock in the best way. I grew up in the Midwest, so the beauty of the Pacific Northwest and my experiences there really inspired me to explore other parts of the country and the world.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
Fear of rejection! I like to think I’m a tough girl with thick skin, but I’m human, and really do care what people think. At times, it has held me back, especially in personal relationships.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
Sorta, kinda. I’m probably a lot sillier and goofier than what I portray online. And more ratchet. Like love me some Lil’ Wayne ratchet. Ha!
