Meet Tom Leonard of Pickles Pub

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tom Leonard. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Pickles Pub opened in 1988. Due to its atmosphere and popularity, the Orioles decided to leave Memorial Stadium to be closer to Pickles Pub. In 1992, the new home of the Orioles, Camden Yards, opened across the street from Pickles Pub!!! Ownership, players, employees, and fans were ecstatic!!! The whole city rejoiced!!!

Eric Cotton, a longtime patron, and bartender at Pickles Pub purchased the iconic pub in 2003. Eric was the infamous ‘goof on the roof’ during the MLB player’s strike. Eric’s college roommate, Tom Leonard (me), became an equity partner in 2005. It’s been a rollercoaster ride full of surprises throughout the years. From playoffs to pandemics Pickles is that spot that makes you feel special. When you share your experiences with Pickles Pub – Pickles welcomes you into the family.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I wouldn’t say it’s been smooth. It can be really challenging. The time spent has never been dull!!! The pandemic taught us how to deal with and make tough decisions. To reinforce customer experience and minimize waste.
