Meet Stacey Flood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacey Flood.

Hi Stacey, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name is Stacey Flood and I wear two hats. I am a professional organizer and an HR professional.

I love helping people and making systems run and operate smoothly. I guess you could say that my two “jobs” are a perfect marriage. My mottos are “Everything has a space and a place” and ” Don’t work harder, work smarter!”

I’ve always had an eye for order and I like things neat and tidy. I do not function well in chaos and clutter.

I find it therapeutic to organize and declutter. What really makes me happy is showing others how simple it can be to organize and bring order to their space.

My first attempt with my business was in 2010 and it was later put on the back burner due to other “life issues”. However, when the pandemic hit and we were all forced to spend more time at home, I was able to relaunch Stacey’s Organizing Solutions virtually.

Luckily now, I am able to offer in-person AND virtual visits.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it is sometimes hard to manage my full-time career and my small business. In addition, it is sometimes difficult to convince potential clients how important having organized spaces are.

There are so many benefits and seeing truly is believing. I love when clients tell me after a session how happy they are they made the decision to hire me!!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am HR Generalist as my career. Organizing is my passion and it takes me to my happy place. Growing up, my parents never had to tell me to clean my room, I’ve always been very neat.

Being in HR makes me a “people person” naturally. I feel this spills over into Stacey’s Organizing Solutions because I develop a rapport with my clients and help them create systems and order in their space(s).

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
I would advise utilizing your network. Start with family, friends, and coworkers. Social media is helpful for advertising as well. Stay patient, positive, and dedicated.
