Meet Shardè Harrison of Baltimore

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shardè Harrison.

Hi Shardè, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Shardè Harrison, a creative, and enthusiastic baker who found her love for baking in 2019. As a child, Shardè valued moments with her grandmother in the kitchen cooking everything: from mac & cheese, greens to double chocolate cake.

Shardè’s grandmother planted the seed of cooking and baking into her life at a young
age. Finding her niche for baking, Shardè, could not get rid of her sweet tooth and
continue to cultivate her love for baked goods. Baking and hosting events at her home began to be a weekly routine. During holidays and special events, family and friends would gather around the table laughing and enjoying the savory taste of Shardè’s Sweet Potato Pie!

Shardè did not take light the power baking goods brought families and friends together
to laugh, eat and enjoy fresh, moist, fantastic baking goods. “Tasty Treats by Shardè” offers unique taste of pies, cupcakes, cakes, cookies and more. Today “Tasty
Treats by Shardè” is a full service and wholesale bakery that specializes in weddings, baby showers, special events, and birthday cakes.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
During the past 6 years, it has not always been a smooth road. We have faced some challenges along the way. Such as the pandemic and low sales during vending seasons.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Tasty Treats by Shardè,” is a black owned and operated bakery that
specializes in birthdays, weddings and cupcakes, and other delicious desserts,
including our signature dessert Reese Peanut Butter Cup Cupcakes, Honey Bun Bundt cakes
and Strawberry shortcake jar.

Moto: “We bring sweets to the streets of
Baltimore city one tasty treat at a time.”

What’s next?
In the future Tasty Treats by Sharde plans to open a food truck.
