Today we’d like to introduce you to Renata Comeaux.
Renata, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I was born and raised in Rio; I started my career in consumer marketing in Brazil. Moved to the US in the beginning of 2000s and then migrated to business marketing, first in the Oil & Gas area and then in Banking. I met Cory, my business partner from Baltimore, during my time in banking. Cory was my vendor and used to run my conferences.
After many years on the client side, I founded R2CW with Cory. Since 2016, R2CW has being the agency of choice for a diverse number of clients in the food & beverage, beauty, financial, and non-profit sectors. I am a single parent, and I have a daughter and son.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not totally smooth. As a corporate person, is was hard to get used to not having a salary every month. It was challenging not to gave an office to go to every morning… the transition from office work to working from home was not easy for me.
Finding business, going after clients is the hard part for me. However, I met so. many interesting people and discovered that I actually enjoy fostering client relationships.
As you know, we’re big fans of R2CW. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about the brand?
What we do

Differentiator
One of our biggest assets is that one of the partners comes from marketing in the financial sector, and the other from the vendor side in production. This enables us to translate client expectations into vendor services.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Liz started out as our client at the Baltimore Metropolitan Council. After moving jobs, she continues to be an advocate for our success. She is always offering encouragement and cheering us as women, minority entrepreneur business owners.
