Hi Patrina , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I discovered my passion for event planning in 2008, organizing various official events at the Department of State. From there, I explored party planning for friends and family before diving into the wedding planning industry. Since then, I’ve been designing events down to the smallest of details, always striving to surpass clients’ expectations.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. I originally started the business offering decor services before pivoting in the wedding industry. I struggled with pricing really bad in the beginning. My prices were extremely low and I was starting to fell burnt out with the workload and using my personal funds for the business. I also struggled with time management.
