Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I have always found joy in meeting new people, staying actively engaged, and seizing every opportunity to create. From a young age, I discovered my passion for events, eagerly embracing every chance to create, plan, or elevate a gathering into a memorable soiree. After honing my skills through years of dedicated practice, I took a bold step and launched the Design Corner in 2010. This venture has become my personal sanctuary, a place where I can design, plan, and explore my artistic freedom. It not only allows me to express my creative vision, but also gives me the privilege of sharing my passion for event design with others, creating unforgettable experiences along the way.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The journey hasn’t been entirely smooth; there have certainly been challenges along the way. In addition to running my entrepreneurial venture, I work full-time as a Healthcare/Finance Manager, and I am also a wife and mother of two. Balancing these responsibilities requires constant effort and re-evaluation of my priorities. The need to juggle professional commitments, family obligations, and personal aspirations can be quite demanding. However, facing these challenges is part of the process, and they ultimately contribute to my growth and resilience in pursuing my passions.

At the Design Corner, we specialize in curating unique features/offerings for events and celebrations, aimed at creating truly memorable experiences for our clients and their guests.
We are renowned for our personalized items and luxurious event displays that provide exciting opportunities for engagement.
Each of our custom dessert displays is meticulously crafted, showcasing an assortment of delectable candies and desserts that are thoughtfully designed to complement the color scheme and theme of your event.
In addition to our exquisite dessert displays, we offer a variety of à la carte options, including a whimsical cotton candy bar, decadent chocolate-covered strawberries, chocolate-covered Oreos, and much more!
We also create engaging displays and activities that cater to both kids and adults, such as tea parties, floral bars, charm bars, and other interactive experiences that make our events stand out.

I am most proud of the joy and memorable moments we create for our clients and their guests. Being able to transform an ordinary gathering into an extraordinary celebration is incredibly fulfilling, and it motivates me to continue pushing the boundaries of creativity in event design.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
Absolutely, I’d be happy to share my perspective on risk-taking. I believe that any entrepreneurial venture inherently involves risk. However, what greater reward is there than to take a significant risk on yourself in pursuit of fulfilling your purpose? For me, that purpose is to creatively assist, teach, motivate, and inspire others. Embracing risk allows for growth and innovation, and while it can be daunting, the potential to make a meaningful impact is well worth the leap.
