Meet Miya Brandon of Treat Your Tastebuds by Miya

Today we’d like to introduce you to Miya Brandon.

Hi Miya, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Treat Your Taste Buds by Miya Snowballs was born during the COVID-19 pandemic. At the time, my husband, our children, and I were already running several businesses, but we were looking for a way to safely connect with our community while enjoying some fresh air together.

As outdoor social distancing restrictions began to ease, we saw an opportunity to create something fun for families while spending quality time as our own family. What started as a simple idea quickly grew into a business built on smiles, sweet treats, and community connections.

Today, we’re proud to serve delicious snowballs while creating lasting memories for our customers. Our journey began with a desire to bring a little joy during a challenging time, and that mission continues every day we open our windows.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Once we established the stand we then decided to open a mobile division to service birthday parties, schools and other events, we did so for two seasons and then the unthinkable happened. Our trailer was stolen, it was locked up and tightly secured. Unfortunately it was never recovered so we had to get a new one and even though we LOVE our new one, our original had all the love, sweat, blood and tears in it from building it from the ground up. It was very disheartening.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
We are a family owned, managed and operated business. Kenny and I are the owners, we manage the business and our children operate it! We are known for our menu full of flavors but mainly our egg custard which is a Baltimore favorite. Our customer service and community engagement sets us apart from any other snowball stand. Brand wise we are most proud of our level of dedication to the local schools in our area that depend on us to come serve them for special events they host during the spring/summer season. We offer what we like to think are some of the most reasonable prices in our market as well as a good portion of product for your buck.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
