Hi Jean, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Bowie Nails & Spa started from a simple idea: creating a space where people could come not only to get their nails done, but to feel comfortable, cared for, and confident when they leave. I’ve always had a passion for beauty and detail. Over time that grew into wanting to build something of my own that reflected this.
The journey definitely wasn’t overnight. There were a lot of long days, learning experiences, and figuring things out as I went, but with consistency and support from our amazing clients, we’ve continued to grow. Recently celebrating our one-year anniversary was a really special milestone. A reminder of how far we’ve come. I’m so grateful for the community we’ve built and excited for what’s ahead.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Most definitely not. Like any small business, there were challenges that came with building everything from the ground up: balancing the responsibilities of running a business and making sure we consistently delivered a great experience for our clients.
There were moments that felt stressful or overwhelming, especially in the beginning, but those experiences taught me a lot about patience, resilience, and adaptability. I think every challenge pushed me to grow both personally and professionally.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At Bowie Nails & Spa, we specialize in not only providing high-quality nail services, but also creating a welcoming experience for every client who walks through our doors. One thing I’m most proud of is the reputation we’ve built for customer service. We really focus on making people feel comfortable and seen for from the moment they arrive.
We’re also proud to be a minority-owned, female-owned business with a diverse and talented team. Every staff member brings their own creativity and personality, which I think is part of what makes our salon so special. What sets us apart is that we genuinely care about both the quality of our work and the relationships we build with our clients.
