Meet Jason Jones of Baltimore

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason Jones.

Jason, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Jason Jones, I play guitar, sing vocals, and write music for an alternative punk rock band called Fetcher based out of Baltimore, MD.

We formed in late 2017 with myself and my best friend Louey Peraza. We’ve known each other since kindergarten.

We both had been playing in bands since 2012 and finally got the opportunity to start writing music together in 2017.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s been relatively smooth since 2021. In the beginning, we had a different drummer and bass player who were not as into the projects as Louey and I were. It was a bit difficult at first since our drummer at the time always seemed to be busy with other things.

in 2019 our band was put on hiatus as our drummer and bass player had left. We decided to take a bit of a break during the Covid-19 pandemic. During this era, we were able to find a new drummer and bass player who still play with us today.

We feel very lucky to all get along very well and be on the same page with our music and direction.

Everything we have recorded has been all D.I.Y. We’ve never been signed to a record label and have recorded most of our music by ourselves, with some outside help of producer friends.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am very proud of our band and our ability to write such diverse music. Every song sounds like it’s own seperate world but somehow still managing to sound like the same band.

I’m also proud of our ability to put on very entertaining, high-energy live performances.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I am a graphic designer and illustrator and I have been in charge of the bands design and marketing direction. I usually don’t lead with it, but I have created just about all of our shirt, sticker, poster, and album cover designs.

I also do graphic art for other bands as well!
