Today we’d like to introduce you to Isaac Palmer.
Hi Isaac, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was raised in construction. My father was a bricklayer and owned his own construction business. That was passed down to my father and then me.
I went a different direction in college and pursued a career in hospital administration. After 20 years in various positions from building new hospitals to CEO, I wanted a change.
My new company, Chapin Residential and Commercial, is a return to my roots.
Chapin does interior remodel and construction on a large scale. We do condo buildings over 10 stories and over 200 units. Everything from flooring to paint to lighting.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s been smooth. I took over a company that was well run and we depend on subcontractors that have proven to be excellent in their individual crafts.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We specialize in large scale renovations that require multiple trades. With size and complexity comes a requirement to coordinate and communicate well. That’s what we do best. We understand that there are many eyes on a project and disruptions to normal flow through the building.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Finishing a job. We work with architects that have amazing designs. Seeing the finish product that started as a drawing is always cool to see.
