Today we’d like to introduce you to Gary Hynson.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
This is a story of the true strength and power of God. How God can turn a negative into a positive, your pain into purpose, tragedy into triumph, a light that can shine in the dark, and how God shows his true strength in our weakest and darkest moments. This is about a person who suffered in silence, and depression from numerous childhood traumas which involved, separation from mother, biological father still unknown, racism, molestation, brother sent to life in prison for murder, alcoholism, selling drugs, drug addiction, violence, and more by the age of 11-12. Weathering through these traumas and addictions expressing myself in a negative way I still managed to move forward in somewhat of a positive way by the grace of God. Struggling 30yrs with a progressive disease of alcoholism, drug addiction, depression, violence, sexual immorality it had reached its heightened state and I finally lost all total control and it only ends in one way which is incarceration, mental institution, and worst off death and that is exactly what was next. BUT in my weakest and darkest moment God came to me and gave me a spiritual divine intervention, and then there was deliverance. God snapped 30yrs of alcoholism, drug addiction, sexual immorality, violence, profanity just like that. Once this happened I started to heal as I started to heal my relationship with God started to grow and the redemption of my life started. Now he uses me to give back to the streets I once hurt. Helping people like myself that are stuck in darkness suffering in silence by serving the homeless, teaching AA, NA, Recovery classes, raising awareness about childhood trauma, mental health, molestation and more to adults and youth by creating a Community Advocacy Based Organization called TheTriangleResource. I was once lost in darkness and now I am found walking in his magnificent light! This is how God shows his true strength in our weakest and darkest moments. This is the true strength and power of God. Oh by the way did I mention ex-dopeboy gangster now transformed into a Man of God a licensed Minister with Agape Family Ministries a Honorary Doctorate degree in Divinity by the School of the Great Commission Bible College and Seminary a certified Christian Counselor from Acts Chapter II Church University. I used to walk around 4.5yrs ago pistol toting mean mugging and trying to get money by any ways necessary to walking around with a Bible and praying for our people. Again the true strength and power of God.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
