Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hello, my name is Fatmata John. I am 26 years old and I started my business back in 2020 when my best friend came to me stating she wanted to have a small get together and asked if I could assist with decoration to which I had no knowledge about at the time. So, I decided to start doing some research on it and then I became more interested in it. I started working with friends that were already in the event decoration world and they were such big help to me. Now, four years later I am still learning and growing but my business means so much to me and I am so grateful for the support I have from my family and friends as well as my clients. They bring a new challenge to me every time and I am always excited to face it.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting off my business was very hard. There was so much to learn going into the entrepreneurial world. First off, making sure that the legal aspect is taken care of then tackling skills such as; time management, adaptability due to unpredictable variables, logistics and coordination and budget constraints. All of this was a learning process and I still get introduced to new hurdles to tackle as the business grow.

I am a balloon artist and an event decorator. To set myself apart as a balloon artist or event decorator, I focus on blending creativity, exceptional service, and a unique personal touch. I pride myself on personalizing each design to perfectly match my clients’ visions and event themes, which shows my dedication and enhances the overall impact. My versatility in style and technique, along with a strong, visually appealing portfolio, helps me showcase my broad skill set and attract a diverse clientele. Exceptional customer service is a priority for me, being responsive and professional helps build trust and satisfaction. As an event decorator, my goal is to offer creative and original décor solutions that captivate and impress. I provide a comprehensive range of services, managing everything from initial concept development to flawless execution, which simplifies the planning process for my clients. My attention to detail ensures that every element aligns perfectly with the event’s theme, reflecting my commitment to quality. I also build strong relationships with reliable vendors to deliver cohesive and high-quality events. Emphasizing a personalized touch and maintaining exceptional client communication and flexibility significantly impacts client satisfaction.
