Hi Enewan, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am a database cloud engineer and a lifestyle/beauty blogger as well as a content creator. I have always loved the tech industry and the beauty industry and always wanted to find a way to incorporate both into my life and career. After graduating college, I went ahead to work with tech giants like Cisco Systems, Comcast cable, Charter Communications (Spectrum), where I was mostly the only female engineer in my team and currently Amazon Web Services (AWS) where I gathered and acquired the experience and deep knowledge of being a database engineer under my belt.
Being an engineer did not stop my love for beauty and skincare. I continued to explore the beauty and skincare industry, focusing on the problem areas which I am always asked a lot of questions about from my friends and family.
Seeing that these issues were once problems for me, and I could not find a one-stop-shop for my beauty needs brought me to working with some of the best in the industry on my skincare line which is currently underway. I am so excited to share with the world and help in my own way to provide a skincare solution to anyone seeking it and bring back their confidence in their appearance. We will focus on skincare issues such as hyper-pigmentation, acne, aging skin while providing healthy glowing skin.
I get bombarded sometimes with questions on how I keep my skin even and glowing, what products I use etc., so I decided to share my skincare tips on my blog, where I write, not just about skincare, but also beauty, lifestyle, fashion, health & fitness, and ways on how to improve and enrich our lives based on the variety of these topics which we all experience in our daily lives.
For my love for writing, I just got finished writing my book on beauty called ‘How To Be Beautiful in 30 Days’, which has recently gone to press and I will be launching this month. I will have the links on my website and my social bios, so look out for that.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
As technology advances and evolves daily, and also being a male dominated field, I challenged myself to constantly raise the bar for myself by getting trained regularly, attending conferences, seminars, and technical events (which have all been virtual due to covid-19). Doing all of this while juggling being a mom of my adorable 9-year-old twins, a wife, and all the challenges that comes with raising a family.
Managing my blog, completing deliverables for the brands I work with, managing my stock trading business, managing my social media platforms and managing my outsourced team to monitor and audit completed deliverables while balancing making time to have personal and family time has all been challenging.
My secret is, knowing my family is my top priority, doing my absolute best, taking a break to rest when I need to, not quit. But ultimately asking for the help of the holy spirit and putting it all in the able hands of God.

As a Cloud Engineer, I find it overly exciting to have the possibility to improve and enhance the reliability and performance of real-world database systems and engines in the cloud used by millions of people around the world. Working with industry leaders in my field and loving it makes it even more enjoyable.
Engineering impacts every part of our modern everyday life. It’s a wonderful career with so many possibilities from building innovative technology, product design, technical sales, research, and development, or management while giving you the option to specialize in various technical fields.
I feel blessed to be able to contribute technically to how businesses improve the everyday lives of people globally. I also enjoy the opportunity to build on my lifestyle brand which helps people be more confident in their own skin.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
My family is my major source of happiness. Of all my achievements in life, being a mom tops my list. Being able to raise my kids in a Godly manner, watch them grow in good health and having my hubby, my number one cheerleader, by my side as my pillar and support brings me so much joy.
