My name is Edwin Colmenarez, and for several years, I worked in construction, where I gained valuable skills in hard work, teamwork, and problem-solving. Five years ago, I moved from Orlando, Florida, to Maryland and decided to change my career path. I was drawn to the city’s energy, diversity, and opportunities, which inspired me to explore something new. That’s when I entered the limousine business. It’s been a great fit—allowing me to focus on delivering quality service while interacting with people from all walks of life, which I enjoy. Since then, I’ve been building experience in this field, learning continuously, and working toward professional growth.

What were you like growing up?
I’d say I was a curious and quiet kid, but with a spark that lit up when something grabbed my passion. I grew up in a home where education was highly valued: my dad and my mom was always instilled in me the importance of learning and hard work. From a young age, I loved solving problems and thinking strategically, which led me to fall in love with chess. It wasn’t just a game for me—I played at a competitive level, spending hours studying moves and facing opponents older than me. Those tournaments taught me patience, how to stay calm under pressure, and how to embrace a challenge.
Personality-wise, I was reserved but friendly; I liked observing and figuring out how things and people worked around me. I also had a creative side: I was into stories, books, and anything that made me think differently. I think that mix of discipline from chess, the influence of my well-educated parents, and my natural curiosity gave me a strong foundation that I still carry with me today. All of that has helped me adapt and find my path, first in construction and now in the family business of Reliable Executive Services DMV.
