Today we’d like to introduce you to Darian Harris.
Hi Darian, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I have been doing music since the age of 9. I started with singing in the choir and also playing the drums. When I turned 19, I started taking music seriously though.
Oct. 4th, 2009 was the day that everything changed. I am a leader of an up-and-coming movement called LOR. LOR stands for Legion Of Rebels and our slogan is where creativity has no ceiling. Since then I have been mastering my craft.
It has been a lot of trial and error in finding my sound as well as finding the right people to surround myself with. Your team is very important regardless of how good you might think you are. These last 2 1/2 years have been a revamping period for me. I have recently released 4 new singles and plan on putting out more music
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been. I was following the wrong people and not taking my music career into my own hands. The biggest lesson I have also learned is everyone really can’t go with you. Some people who say they are your friends aren’t.
Throughout my musical journey my personal life also kind of took a toll on me so it was hard to focus. I had to learn to compartmentalize certain things to get things done. From 2015 to 2020, I only performed 3 times.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a Rapper with many layers. Aside from that I also sing, produce, and work on getting my IT certifications and I am running a budding up-and-coming label. I specialize in creativity. There isn’t a moment where I’m not thinking of ideas to separate myself from the pack.
I’m known for I’d say my character as well as my music. I’ve always made it a mission of mine to have integrity and treat others respectfully. I’m proud of the fact that I haven’t given up on my goals and dreams. What sets me apart is that I am a thinker.
Along with being creative, I have a big vision that expands beyond music. Now that I have gotten off my rough patch I am prepared to show the world exactly who Yng Robin is.
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
You can easily DM me on Instagram which is @Yngrobin. Or also email me I am always willing to collaborate with other people.
I’m currently putting out more content and music from myself and my whole camp (LOR) so following me on social media would be the best way to support me. I would really appreciate it. I am looking to perform more very soon also.
