Today we’d like to introduce you to Daria Wigglesworth.
Hi Daria, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Hey everyone! I’m Daria Wigglesworth, the owner of SheIsLashed, LLC. SheIsLashed was founded January 7th, 2018. SheIsLashed offers lashes services, lash trainings, and lash products Worldwide.
I graduated from Hampton University in May of 2020. During my tenure at Hampton University, I offered lash extension services. I decided during my sophomore year that I didn’t want to work a minimum wage job getting $7.25/hr. so I took a lash training and became certified to do lash extensions.
I had intentions of working for a corporate company starting January 2021. I accepted the job offer and was supposed to relocate in January. After I graduated college in 2020, I had went full-time doing lash services that entire Summer. I noticed that I was getting consistent clientele and made more money than I did while in college. I started to question if I really wanted to work for someone so I prayed to God about it. After I prayed and talked to God, the decision was made. I decided to decline the offer for the corporate job and sent back all the equipment. Having a business plan & strategy for going full-time was important to have when it came to me making this big decision. This was a risk that I knew would come with great reward!
In 2021, I decided to release a full product line for all lash artist Worldwide. Sells were slow starting off but I didn’t give up. I stayed positive and persistent. In 2022 my products started to get out there! I started selling quality products locally and in some other states. In January 2023, I was able to ship to the Netherlands, Canada, and 28 states! I was super grateful and shocked. This was just a sign to keep going!
I’m grateful for my Alma Mater because it shaped me into who I am today. I learned a lot by attending Hampton University. I don’t regret going to college one bit. I met so many people along the way with some being able to teach me things. Hampton University was the stomping grounds for SheIsLashed!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Having your own business isn’t always smooth. There will definitely be some bumps in the road. One struggle I had in the beginning was managing my money. I knew how to save but I just didn’t know how to allocate my funds when it came to personal vs business funds. I checked my numbers to see that I could’ve been saving so much more! It was a lesson learned because now, I have an accountant so I’m much more organized.
Another struggle I had along the way was promoting my brand. I had to learn with time how to put myself out there so that people know who I am first and my brand. I learned that nobody will promote your business how you will! It’s important to post your work and/or services. It’s important to always have business cards on hand when you’re out in public. Networking is also helpful when you’re trying to elevate. Without it, you will be close-minded.
With struggles throughout the years, it has taught me to figure things out. I will always find a way to get the job done. If something is wrong or a mistake is made, I don’t have time to sit and be sad. I have to figure out my next move to fix things and learn from it so that it doesn’t happen again.

SheIsLashed offers lash extension services, lash products, and lash trainings that include mentorship! I specialize in all lash sets and teaching. I have a passion for teaching people the way of lashing. I enjoy seeing someone actually understand my techniques and capabilities when it comes to lashing. I’m known for being personable and outgoing when it comes to customers and clientele. Focusing on the experience and building relationships is important to me. I’m most proud of me not giving up and staying the course. I’m proud to say that I’m a 6-Figure earner and I’ve been able to ship to 28 states, Canada, and the Netherlands.
What sets me apart from others is my eagerness to learn and grow no matter how much I may think I know. Also, being a hard worker, my perseverance and dedication is what sets me apart. My business is an example of this. I didn’t give up I just kept showing up and showing out for SheIsLashed.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Over the next 5-10 years, I see myself offering lash products and just teaching while having business investments elsewhere. I don’t see myself doing the actual labor of lash extensions for long. In the industry, I feel like there will be some big trend that happens in the next 5-10 years. I can’t pinpoint what it might be but the beauty industry is always evolving and finding new trends and techniques.
