Today we’d like to introduce you to Cat Orsini.
Hi Cat, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I began my career over a decade ago in corporate roles focused on solving complex financial and operational challenges. I worked on stabilizing distressed companies through cash flow strategy and cost restructuring, helped secure $5M in venture funding and a technology sale for a startup, and contributed to process improvements that increased efficiency in government systems.
In 2013, I launched my business as a coach. Early on, I found myself disillusioned with the aggressive, transactional “bro marketing” approaches that dominated the space. That led me to pivot—both philosophically and strategically—toward a model rooted in authentic relationships and long-term value.
I evolved Action Incubator to integrate my background as a Master Certified Coach (MCC) and MBA with a systems-driven approach to growth. I began focusing on helping service providers shorten sales cycles through trust-based marketing, supported by smart automation and intentional client experiences.
Today, as Founder and CEO of Action Incubator and Spark CRM, I help entrepreneurs turn relationships into revenue by building scalable systems that prioritize genuine connection. My work centers on giving clients the tools, structure, and strategy to grow sustainably—without sacrificing integrity.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been anything but smooth.
From a young age, I often felt like an outsider. I experienced significant bullying growing up, and for many years carried a sense of “what’s wrong with me?” That question wasn’t answered until my 40s, when I was diagnosed with ADHD and Autism. That diagnosis reframed everything—it wasn’t that something was wrong with me, it was that I needed to understand how I operate and build systems that actually support my brain.
In business, one of my biggest challenges came when I made the intentional decision to reject manipulative sales tactics. That shift resulted in a six-month sales drought. It forced me to rebuild my entire approach around ethical reciprocity, relationship-building, and long-term trust.
These experiences ultimately became the foundation of my work today. My success is driven by radical self-acceptance and designing systems that align with how people actually function—not how they’re told they “should.” I now help other service providers develop, document, integrate and scale their own repeatable processes, increasing both revenue and long-term business value.
We’ve been impressed with Action Incubator, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My work centers on helping service-based entrepreneurs turn their networks into predictable revenue using relationship-driven strategy and smart, ethical automation.
What I do: I partner with experts, advisors, and professional service providers to design systems that quietly move people from “curious contact” to “ready-to-work-with-you” without relying on high-pressure tactics. My focus is on building repeatable referral, follow-up, and nurture processes so your pipeline fills consistently, even when you’re busy serving clients.
How I do it: Through Action Incubator, I help clients document and optimize their “secret sauce” into clear, scalable workflows—so they’re not reinventing the wheel with every lead or opportunity. Then, with Spark CRM, we layer in strategic automation, data, and reminders to make staying in touch natural and sustainable instead of overwhelming so your follow up is always fail-proof.
Who I serve: I primarily support service-based business owners—consultants, agency owners, financial and legal professionals, and other service experts—who are great at what they do but don’t have a simple, human way to stay visible and top-of-mind with their networks, referral partners, and leads. My clients are values-driven entrepreneurs who want systems that work with their brains and ethics, not against them.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
I wish I had understood sooner that alignment beats speed.
You can grow a business quickly using pressure, urgency, and tactics that don’t feel good—but it’s rarely sustainable, and it often creates a business you don’t actually want to run.
Focus on building a repeatable system for creating trust. Relationships are your greatest asset, and when you nurture them intentionally, they compound over time.
Also, design your business around how you naturally work. Whether that’s your energy patterns, communication style, or neurodivergence—your business will scale faster when it fits you instead of fighting you.
And finally, document everything that works. Your future scalability—and eventual exit value—depends on how well your success can be repeated without you.
