Meet Candice Denise

Today we’d like to introduce you to Candice Denise.

Hi Candice, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am a Creative Director & Wellness Curator. With over ten years in the event planning industry, known for creating and curating memorable social experiences for clients. I took the logistics skills, project management and creativity I gained from the event industry, evolved and created CD Creative Loft, working with high achieving, ambitious women to help them nurture their well-being + achieve & maintain a lifestyle of wellness.

Being a wellness advocate, sharing my journey-to inspire others through personal reflections and life lessons. I recognize the importance of taking care of one’s well-being (mind, body and soul). I’m fueled by a passion to connect with and embrace one’s true self.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The biggest challenge that I’ve experienced is being a small business owner, it’s not always easy to get the continuous support needed to grow, market and scale your business. Often times companies that are in the same industry as you, but they have a bigger network, backing or team can get more traction/business. It can be tough, especially as a solopreneur because most days I’ve had to be all things in my business and that hasn’t always allowed me to focus on the further growing and marketing business because many days I had to focus on working the business.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Helping ambitious women identify, achieve & maintain a lifestyle of wellness +nurture their well-being.  Enabling them to create a work/life harmony that allows them to feed their mind, body, and soul on a daily basis-guiding them in taking care of the powerhouse women they are. By making their wellness a priority, they’re more sustainable personally and professionally.

I specialize in infusing simplified wellness practices into your day to day. Easy and truly simple ways to intentionally take care of the mind, body, soul. Most people think caring for oneself requires lots of money, and hours of their time, when in actuality it doesn’t require that at all.

I am most proud of being able to work with highly achieving, driven women-being able to be a part of their professional and personal journeys.

Not believing in a work-life balance mindset sets me apart from others because most persons do believe in this mindset. I believe in work-life harmony. Balance, to me. requires things to be even which in theory nothing in life is ever even. I believe harmony means things need to work well together and feel aligned to you, not based on anyone else’s standards. Pursuing harmony vs balance takes the pressure off of oneself.

What makes you happy?
As crazy as it may sound roaming the home decor aisles of Target and Home Goods makes me happy and it’s therapeutic for me reason being, I love looking at pretty things as it plays into visual stimulation for me and I love touching textures as it appeals to my sensory stimulation. For instance, soft fabrics are comforting are soothing to me. All of these things are acts of self-care for me and more than anything what makes me most happy…taking care of me!
