Meet Bri Anderson of BTE Luxe

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bri Anderson.

Hi Bri, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I began my journey in esthetics while I was in college, trying to understand and heal my skin while dealing with breakouts and hyperpigmentation. I went through so much trial and error, and my self-esteem was dwindling until I found my initial “magic” remedy and everything started to clear up. Once I no longer felt the need to cover myself in foundation just to leave my dorm, I knew this was the career path I wanted to pursue.

Shortly after college, I enrolled in esthetics school and began my training, completing both my basic and master esthetician licenses over the course of about 12 months, with only a three-week break in between. My career started in Virginia, where I worked and trained under estheticians with over 20 years of experience.

After my time there, I opened my first small suite in DC. I had the opportunity and pleasure of working alongside a spa owner who had successfully run her business for more than 20 years and had even more experience in the industry. She took me under her wing, offering advice and mentorship that helped shape me into the business owner I am today.

Today, I run my suite in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, offering services ranging from skincare treatments to full-body waxing. My goal is to help every client feel confident in their own skin by enhancing their natural beauty and boosting the self-image they carry with them long after they leave my suite.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
This journey has not been smooth or easy, even if I sometimes make it look that way. As a solo esthetician and solopreneur, I am responsible for every part of my business. From marketing and customer service to inventory, accounting, performing services, and networking, I wear many hats each day. It can certainly be overwhelming at times, and there are moments when I wish for more hands, more bodies, or more hours in the day. But being involved in every part of the process has strengthened my skills and deepened my understanding of what it takes to build and sustain a business from the ground up while intentionally creating an exceptional client experience. Every detail of my business carries my signature, and that level of care is something my clients can feel the moment they walk through the door.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
BTE Luxe is a private spa suite dedicated to results-driven skincare and elevated beauty services in a comfortable, personalized setting. I specialize in customized facials, advanced skin treatments, full body waxing, and brow and lash services designed to enhance my clients’ natural beauty while supporting long-term skin health.

What sets my business apart is the intention behind every service. I focus heavily on education, customization, and creating a luxury experience that still feels welcoming and personal. No two clients have the same skin, goals, or lifestyle, so every treatment is thoughtfully tailored rather than approached with a one-size-fits-all method.

Over time, I have become especially known for my Brazilian waxing services and corrective skincare treatments. My clients trust me not only for the technical skill behind the service, but also for the care, comfort, and professionalism they experience throughout the entire appointment.

Brand-wise, what I am most proud of is the environment I have created. BTE Luxe is more than a place to receive a service, it is a space where people can relax, feel taken care of, and leave feeling more confident in themselves. I built my brand on the idea that beauty services should enhance what already exists rather than trying to change someone completely.

Ultimately, I want readers to know that BTE Luxe is about more than skincare or waxing. My goal is to create an experience that helps people feel confident, supported, and comfortable in their own skin, while delivering high-quality treatments that produce real, visible results.

With the beauty industry constantly evolving, I make it a priority to stay engaged in ongoing education. I regularly attend workshops and webinars hosted by esthetic brands and fellow estheticians to keep up with new techniques, ingredients, and treatment innovations. ASCP has also been a wonderful resource for me, especially through their blogs and their Skin Deep magazine, which offers great insight into industry trends and professional development. I’m not as deep into podcasts as I used to be, but I still enjoy tuning into conversations and educational content that support both personal and professional growth.
