Today we’d like to introduce you to Blessing Agoha.
Hi Blessing, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
My creative journey began when I decided to share lifestyle content, style, everyday moments, and restaurants on social media. People would view my content and feel the luxurious vibe of the DMV and I loved it.
As I continue to grow, I began to embrace uncertainty and be the quickest and most productive in trying new things. I believe my ability to adapt to change and be open to constant growth is what sets me apart. We live in a constantly evolving environment and cannot know exactly what the future holds and every day I thrive to put in the work to become the best version of myself while building my brand and online presence.
I’m most proud of myself, my personal growth, the non-resume things, my ability to multitask, and build multiple businesses and initiatives. My catholic faith and the close community of my family and friends – make all and everything I do worth sharing and celebrating. Life’s a lot sweeter because of them. As I continue to create my ability to discover myself gets even better and I love it.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I would say it hasn’t been a smooth road because content creating is a field with no blueprint. As a creator you are navigating uncharted waters where the rules for how to create aren’t presented at your fingertips you must try different techniques, figure out what works for you and also be ready to change because these social media platforms are constantly evolving. It takes a lot of time, effort, persistence, and consistency. There’s also an aspect of connecting with your followers and finding that balance on what to share, the guilt of oversharing, imposter syndrome, vulnerability with strangers and lack of confidence. However, the overall genuine connections I have built with my followers have been a great experience which makes it easier to share and create content.
I’m also organized especially since I have multiple businesses, I use a visual organizing tool like notion app that keeps everything structured. Every day I choose to create my best work that benefits my audience and makes me happy.
Having the mindset that every intentional and consistent action I take brings me closer to my goals.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a lifestyle creator which encompasses sharing restaurants, style, beauty, travel, hotels, and everyday moments. I’m known for sharing the upscale Aesthetically Pleasing DMV Restaurants such as Alhambra at St Regis DC, Nobu DC, Truluck’s, Eddie Vs, Gordon Ramsay Steak, Rpm Italian, Kingbird at Watergate hotel, The Bygone, Lyledc, FIOLA Mare, and many more on Instagram@blessing_agoha and Tiktok @bagoha.
I love the idea of editing my videos, taking pictures, and showing a lot of things my eyes captures and visual storytelling. At the end of the day, everything ties together because I’m living my purpose, constantly learning and I never avoid taking up a new challenge.
