Meet Anika Berry

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anika Berry.

Hi Anika, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am a Trinidadian artist who discovered a passion for performing at a young age. I was a member of the high school choir, where I was trained in singing. I then began performing in pageants, musicals, and plays. In 2019, I released her first single “Romance” and my first collaboration “Thief a Wine.”

I am a 4x charting Soca artiste and one of the industry’s top vocalists. Bursting onto the scene in 2021 with my hit single “lash up”. My popularity grew to grant me a spot on the vibes with voice tour, lyrikal, and friends’ concert, and spice s love and dancehall concert.

I have charted on the US, Canada, and United Kingdom’s reggae charts with 4 top 10 placements as well as a frequent radio play on some of the world’s biggest radio stations. These radio stations include power 105. (USA), 96.1 (Trinidad and Tobago and boom champions). My plans are to continue pushing the art form globally and hope to be one of the industry’s top soca artiste.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I think the hardest challenge is to get people to take me seriously. When I first got into the industry everyone didn’t care about my music. It wasn’t till they saw me on big stages that’s when people started taking an interest in me.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am in Caribbean American soca artiste. I travel all over the world to sing. My proudest moment in charting #2 on the US reggae charts. I think what sets me apart from others is my presence. My willingness to work and constantly grow to become a better artist.

What’s next?
One of my biggest goals in the future would be to sell out an Anika Berry tour and get a number 1 placement on the Billboard charts. I also want to continue saving lives through medicine and music. (I’m a nurse).
