Meet Andrea Hill of Sable Echelon Innovations LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Hill.

Hi Andrea, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m a single mother, entrepreneur, and the Founder & CEO of Sable Echelon Innovations LLC, Andrea A. Photography, LLC, and Black Belladonna Boudoir, LLC.
My entrepreneurial story began in 2016, when I launched Andrea A. Photography, LLC to supplement my income. At the time, I was navigating motherhood and a demanding corporate career. Photography gave me more than creative freedom—it gave me purpose. Through my camera, I began connecting with incredible women—scientists, professors, physicians, therapists, and business leaders—who were often so focused on caring for everyone else that they rarely invested in themselves.
That realization shaped the heart of my business philosophy: to pour into women who pour into others. Every session was designed to make my clients feel like models for the day. I offered wardrobe support, hors d’oeuvres, and genuine conversation—because it was never just about taking photos; it was about giving women the space to see themselves as worthy, powerful, and beautiful.
In 2020, I launched Black Belladonna Boudoir, LLC, a luxury boudoir photography brand that pushes beyond traditional beauty standards. My mission with this brand is to remind women that they are beautiful right now—not ten pounds later, not when life feels perfect—but in this very moment. Black Belladonna Boudoir quickly became a movement for body positivity, self-love, and feminine confidence, especially among Black professional women who needed that affirmation most.
By 2023, my purpose began to evolve once again. After facing unemployment in 2025, I took that experience as a catalyst to build something bigger—something that could help others pivot the way I had. That vision led to the creation of Sable Echelon Innovations LLC, a staffing and workforce development company dedicated to empowering Black women and underrepresented professionals to access education, technology training, and sustainable career opportunities.
Through Sable Echelon Innovations, I’m developing the Sable Echelon Career Pathways App, an all-in-one platform that helps students and job seekers gain IT training, certification support, interview coaching, and direct connections with employers. The goal is to bridge the gap between education and employment—helping over 300,000 Black women pivot into technology and reclaim financial independence.
From the lens of my camera to the strategy of my tech platform, every chapter of my journey has been guided by the same belief: when women are seen, valued, and supported, they change everything around them.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Over the years, my entrepreneurial journey has been anything but smooth—but every challenge has shaped the foundation of my businesses and the woman I am today. When I launched Andrea A. Photography, LLC back in 2016, I was passionate but had little guidance on how to turn creativity into a sustainable brand. I faced financial uncertainty, lack of support, and the steep learning curve of running a business solo. Then, in 2020, I expanded my vision with Black BellaDonna Boudoir, LLC, a brand created to empower women through intimate, confidence-building photography. This venture was launched right before the pandemic—a time that tested not just my resilience but my belief in what I was building.
The struggle of balancing a full-time job while growing two photography businesses was real. I encountered moments of self-doubt, imposter syndrome, and frustration over not having the same access to resources or support that others seemed to have. But I refused to give up. I invested in business coaching, joined entrepreneurial communities, and started sharing my experiences on my Black Belladonna Women Podcast—a platform where I could speak candidly about business, healing, and growth while building community among women who felt unseen or underestimated.
Most recently, after becoming unemployed in 2025, I turned that setback into an opportunity by scaling Sable Echelon Innovations Corp, my virtual call center and staffing agency. This company represents everything I’ve learned—innovation, persistence, and empowerment. Today, my focus is on creating digital systems, training programs, and workforce solutions that help other women, displaced workers, and veterans gain financial independence through remote work and technology.
The road has been full of lessons, but each obstacle has positioned me for growth. My journey is proof that you don’t need a perfect start to build something powerful—you just need purpose, consistency, and the courage to keep going.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
When I founded Sable Echelon Innovations LLC in 2025, my goal was clear—to build more than just a staffing company. I wanted to create a movement of empowerment, helping people who have been overlooked, displaced, or underestimated reclaim their careers and their confidence. Sable Echelon Innovations is a SAM.gov-registered staffing and workforce development agency, enabling us to provide staffing, training, and management services to corporate and government contracting partners.
Although the company is still young, I am incredibly proud of the purpose and mission behind it. We are a call to action for the 300,000 unemployed federal and corporate professionals ready to pivot into new careers. Our work focuses on inclusive workforce solutions, supporting Black professionals, individuals with autism, adults over 50, and those with attention deficit disorders, who are often overlooked in traditional hiring pipelines.
Through our Sable Echelon Career Pathways App, we are building an all-in-one digital ecosystem where students and job seekers can learn IT skills, earn certifications, practice interviews, and access job postings directly from corporate and nonprofit partners. Employers and government contractors can also hire, train, and manage talent efficiently within the platform.
What I am most proud of is that Sable Echelon Innovations LLC is built on purpose, innovation, and impact. We are not just creating jobs; we are redefining success, empowering communities, and providing opportunities for individuals who have been overlooked, proving that anyone—regardless of age, background, or ability—can thrive when given the right support and guidance.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
Along this journey, I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have multiple mentors who guided me through the challenges of entrepreneurship, business growth, and personal development. Early on, while building Andrea A. Photography, LLC, I utilized resources from CreativeLive and Sue Bryce Education to learn the fundamentals of photography and business structure during the startup phase.
I also had the privilege of being mentored by Dr. Marcea Burnette Whitaker, a public speaker who helped me navigate mindset challenges and strengthen my resilience during the early stages of entrepreneurship. Tamieka Smith, the owner of Tamieka Smith Photography, LLC, was my first photography and life mentor. She taught me how to structure my photography business, set pricing that reflected my true value, and overcome mindset barriers that were holding me back from growing my business. Her guidance was pivotal in helping me understand my worth as a professional and entrepreneur.
More recently, Saacha Walton, owner of Biz Her Way and SWI Management Group, has been instrumental in guiding me through government contracting, IT staffing, and the expansion of my technology ventures, including apps and SaaS platform creation. She has helped me leverage my 18 years of experience in IT and the federal government, showing me how to integrate my past expertise into Sable Echelon Innovations LLC and use it as a springboard to achieve my mission of empowering Black professionals, displaced workers, and underserved communities.
Each of these mentors has helped me transform challenges into opportunities, taught me the value of strategic growth, and inspired me to pursue a vision that combines technology, workforce development, and empowerment. Their guidance continues to shape the way I lead my companies, including Andrea A. Photography, LLC, Black Belladonna Boudoir, LLC, and Sable Echelon Innovations LLC, helping me create meaningful impact for the communities I serve.
