Today we’d like to introduce you to Ali Mulford and Tori Wolfgang.

Hi Ali and Tori, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
When we first met we instantly connected on our love for event planning and all things design and decor.

We got the idea to start our Luxury Picnic Business during the midst of COVID-19 when large-scale events and parties weren’t permitted. By starting our Luxury Picnic Business, we were able to provide an intimate setting for people to connect and celebrate their time together in beautiful surroundings.

We have grown the business and in addition to Luxury Picnics, we now offer Event Coordination and Tablescape Design Services.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Initially, it wasn’t the easiest venture but like any first-time business owner, we have dealt with some challenges that we never expected to deal with.

Over time, it has become easier to not only understand the needs of our clients but welcome their ideas and/or wishes to guarantee an overall stress-free process. Regardless of the challenges, we have been so lucky to create relationships with other local small businesses in the Maryland area.

The support that we have received has been truly amazing and it has allowed us to create some magical events and memories that our clients will always remember.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Victoria Alexandra Events is a two-woman show and we specialize in Luxury Picnics, Event Coordination, and Tablescape Design Services.

With a keen eye for details and a love for design, we carefully curate every detail of our client’s events while taking the stress out of planning so they can enjoy every minute. No matter what the client is celebrating, birthdays, anniversaries, bridal showers, weddings, or just for fun, we can help our clients pull off the perfect event and create memories that will last a lifetime.

One unique thing about Victoria Alexandra Events is that you will receive two planners rather than one while working with us.

You will always be in constant communication with either both and/or one of us leading up to your event. Even if you may know every little detail that you would like for your event or have no idea where to start, we can help with the design of an event by creating an individualized mood board based on your ideas, color scheme, theme, etc.

Another unique quality about our events is that they can take place inside or outside. When you hear the word Luxury Picnics, you automatically think that it must take place outside. Our Luxury Picnics are very adaptable and can be set up indoors or outdoors along with accommodating any number of guests.

We provide all our services throughout the state of Maryland including Baltimore City, neighboring counties including Anne Arundel County to Frederick County. If your event isn’t in the above locations, don’t worry we love to travel and are open to exploring new places to assist with your event.

We are proud to be a women-owned small business and love working with other small business owners. It is one of the things that we are most proud of and are always open to collaborating with new small businesses.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
Baltimore has so many small niche spots that work well with our services!

The parks, event spaces, and even clients’ homes that we have set up have created a stunning backdrop for our events. If we had to say one thing that we don’t like about Baltimore, the traffic!

We both drive from outside of Baltimore and it can become very time-consuming if we get stuck in traffic. Thank goodness for Waze!

Pricing:

  • Tablescape Design starts at $25 per person- 2 hours minimum, includes setup and cleanup, glassware, plate ware, silverware, tablescape decor, 2-3 small floral arrangements
  • Luxury Picnics start at $149 for 2 people, 2 hours, includes setup and cleanup, low picnic table, rugs, pillows, plate ware, silverware, glassware, tablescape decor, 2-3 small floral arrangements, polaroid camera, and personalized letter board
  • Day of Coordination Services, $75 per hour
  • Full Event Coordination Services, $100 per hour
