Life & Work with Sierra Middleton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sierra Middleton.

Hi Sierra, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My vision for becoming an entrepreneur came to me as I was in my first commercial. it was in 2019 in Atlanta, Georgia for a Kickstarter campaign where I served proudly as A staff writer for Gaye magazine. At that moment I decided to perfect my professionalism acting as A sole proprietor to my first business devoted to women in the LGBT community for body contouring, Sarah’s daughter LLC.

Originally, from South Carolina I found myself relocating to Baltimore to pursue more open-minded clientele to incorporate health care to the many notches on my belt by being right around the corner from Washington, DC. (After A failed relationship) pre-pandemic: I, Sierra Middleton, gained overnight motivation to train in various in 1 on 1 workshop classes for lash extension, vacuum therapy, V steams, teeth whitening, and organic facials to add onto services offered.

Since then, Sarah’s daughter rebirthed as A portal for brands, and have branched off onto socially promoting beauty indie entities such as TEN and first Maryland promotion via Instagram and blip billboard. Taking steps towards sponsorship I removed myself and devoted my time into my peers, as I wanted to make sure every hard-working queer person of color received their flowers for all the work invested into various crafts. This domino cause and effect generated into my E book, “stability” and was released A year later giving phone numbers, addresses, insurance mco’s and facility clinics in A state-by-state directory on lulu press showcasing me as an author.

Today, my line of work is A living walking name not just to the hospitality and medical cluster, but for the prior service sector for those enlisted as active or reserve. As Sarah’s daughter submits current personal vouchers for trans military soldiers in the army as well as prior service I solidify and strive to become nonprofit as well. Integrating my name in the media industry as being A draft nominee 2022 for DC black Broadway as being one of the sister companies as well as an actress. My business will be A household name one day.

In addition to that, I also report in on news, tea, and gossip via strawberry’s space on youtube, A freelance model, practicing medical assistant graduate of phlebotomy school of Maryland and top knowledge health care institute, A member of ballroom’s kiki scene house of supreme, A musician of apple music, the 2nd black transwoman after TS Madison to be featured on brinktv, lonerxmagazine recipient of Memphis 2020, and A member of the human rights campaign.

I really have grown into myself and my brand in the 3 years I have been in the county here, and can’t wait to grow Sarah’s daughter even more hopefully into A gay-friendly job temp referral service for employment around or in the DMV area.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
For me, my occupation has always been A secondary source of income. Though I enjoy being A body contour specialist, I specialize in homeland security via south Bronx job corps, New York. So, the obstacles I’ve faced due to discrimination has aligned me to into who I am today. Me being trans at such A controversial time where bathroom inclusion conversation and pronoun recognition were on the table.

Sarah’s daughter is more than just medspa it is A gateway and portal for us by us

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Since my mother became deceased in 2016, I have cared for hospice patients in multiple living facilities and HHC settings. Becoming A medical technician has intrigued me in the sense of helping those that can’t help themselves in A safe environment. I love what I do and what I wear with the scrubs, and I am infamous for my smile in feeding patients with Alzheimer’s and dementia. Patients cling to me at the start of my smile for having A nice personality and energetic spirit that I wouldn’t trade for the world.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
The role of luck has played A tremendous part in my upbringing by being essential within the economy in 2020. All eyes were on me when I really displayed random acts of kindness in my community and showcased other products as an LGBT influencer for east Baltimore
