Life & Work with Paula Rosero

Today we’d like to introduce you to Paula Rosero.

Alright, thank you for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, how did you get started?
I’m a 23-year-old content creator born in South America, Ecuador. I came to this country 1 and a half ago feeling lost. This journey has been a self-discovery path of mi e, falling in love with someone with a completely different culture and trying to pursue my makeup artist career. At the same time, I still make money to live, get over a world pandemic, and still try to put the highlights of my life on the internet.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The feeling of not knowing what you want and being this young makes you feel like there are so many things to do. And when you try a bunch of them, you can discover your true passion.

Thanks for sharing that. So, you could tell us a bit more about your work.
I have a very creative mind. I’ve been painting my face since I was 14 years old. I love to write; it could be a poem. Or just a simple quote. When I went through a heartbreak 2 years ago, I was in my most vulnerable state. I started to post my writings online. They became viral and showed me that people really want to relate to someone. During covid, I launched my online classes, and now I’m saving some money to go to makeup school in this big city (I still do makeup for some people on the side, but I want to take it to the next level).

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Do not plan your life step by step. It is better if you have the main goal and then flows. You can create something big out of every situation.
