Today we’d like to introduce you to Patricia Reynolds.
Hi patricia , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
back in year 2020 my son Will had an idea that i should make something to sell since Im so get at it . Didn’t think much of the idea but whipped up a cake and took to work to share with my co workers ( slices) people stared asking me how much for cakes i said it was a treat no charge but then they started asking me to bake cakes so i started buying supplies doing research on what i needed and now years later selling all over the DMV parties, car shows, grand openings , repass and more became Patti cakes (all because my son had an idea).
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
holidays sometimes become a challenge trying to complete sometimes 25 cakes in two days and still work my 8-4:30. keeping enough supplies on hand for the last minute orders to keep customers happy. Also trying not to overwhelm myself because sometimes i have to turn people down because i bake from home and with only a residential oven and my son working in deliveries between his job and personal life
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
