Today we’d like to introduce you to Mt. Sinai Baptist Church.

Hi Mt. Sinai, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Our Mission
Developing Spirit-led disciples who make more disciples

Our Vision
We the members of the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church will celebrate the presence of God as we reach and reproduce within Washington DC and its surrounding communities, a people equipped with a passion for the truth of Jesus Christ, who will become a healing and transforming presence among the lost and the disadvantaged.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We are a church dedicated to the Developing Spirit-Led Disciples Who Make More Disciples. Our goal is the grow the body of Christ, engage the community in tangible ways through various activities and events including but not limited to our Annual Church and Community Health Fair, we are currently working to revive our Food Pantry, which will give away free food once a month beginning November 15th, our Missionary Ministry goes out once a month to distribute bagged lunches to the homeless, we have a Benevolence Ministry in which we help people with their financial challenges. We also hosted two Community Mobile Cafes this summer in an effort show ourselves friendly to the surrounding community. Community and church members had the opportunity meet and greet each other, and network over a cold or hot beverage.

Our Evangelism Ministry goes out twice a month on Sunday mornings to conduct Prayer Walks — The purpose is to go out and pray for various blocks and pray for people. In one of the pictures provided, the young lady pictured in the black confessed Christ and ask our Prayer Team to pray for her!

We also support foreign missions. Currently, we are financially supporting a mission in Zambia, Africa to build a school. Our Pastor, Rev. Dr. Tyrone Queen visited Zambia in July of this year to see the needs of the Georgia Village up close and personal.
