Today we’d like to introduce you to Ledon Carroll.
Hi Ledon , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I actually started out producing music. We had celebrities coming in and out of the studio, and I wanted to document the journey, so I picked up a camera. That’s when I met Alex Acosta — a director, producer, editor, and cinematographer. One day he came in and showed me the ins and outs of my camera, and I was blessed to work with him on a few music videos. That experience really inspired me.
From there, I started shooting everything — artists in the studio, my kids, anyone who would let me practice. I dove into YouTube and learned as much as I could, applying that knowledge to create music videos. Over time, I grew into shooting weddings, commercials, and even government agency projects.
Then I met my fiancée, who was modeling at the time, and together we created Cinematic Imagery Films. That partnership helped shape my vision of building the next big production agency. Along the way, I also created a few short films, and ultimately my goal is to direct a full feature film.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Starting a business is hard, and turning it into something truly sustainable is even harder. I had to push through imposter syndrome, financial ups and downs, and the strain it can put on relationships and family life. Some months you’re thriving, and other months you’re wondering how to keep everything moving forward.
Finding balance has been one of the biggest challenges — balancing time, energy, creativity, and the constant need to learn. Running a business means wearing every hat: marketing, branding, bookkeeping, client management, all while trying to stay positive and not view every shortcoming as a failure but as a lesson.
Working with my partner has been amazing, but like any creative partnership, we bump heads sometimes. Learning how to balance love, business, and ambition has been its own journey. And when you’re passionate, it’s easy to pour all your time into the work, sometimes forgetting to slow down.
But every challenge has shaped me. The struggles taught me resilience, patience, and how to keep growing even when the road isn’t smooth.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My work spans photography, videography, branding, lifestyle shoots, commercials, short films, corporate events, and even government agency projects. The goal has always been to create a one‑stop, affordable production experience for clients who want high‑quality visuals without the barriers.
I wear a lot of hats — photographer, director, producer, colorist, and videographer — and each role has helped shape the way I approach storytelling. I’m most known for my high‑quality cinematic videos and photos, especially my color grading, which has become a signature part of my style.
I’m proud of how far I’ve come: starting a business from scratch, learning everything I could while still working a 9–5, and eventually tripling my income through consistency and growth. What truly sets me apart is my commitment to quality and my ability to tell stories in a way that feels authentic, emotional, and visually striking.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
I had an amazing childhood. Honestly, the 80s and 90s were the best time to be a kid. My favorite memories are all about being outside with my friends — riding our bikes from neighborhood to neighborhood, running into classmates, and feeling like the whole world was our playground. Summer nights felt endless. We’d stay out as long as we could, snacking on Snickers, Doritos, and those little Huggie juices just to delay going inside and leaving the fun behind. It was simple, carefree, and full of joy.
