Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Pantoja.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I graduated from nursing school in 2013 and became an ICU nurse. I had no intentions of starting my own business fast-forward to 2020, I’m now in nurse practitioner working in the primary care and the nursing homes. Pandemic ravage is through and kills so many people that I love. I decided it was time for me to make a shift. I began taking classes and continuing my education to pursue aesthetics and wellness. I made the jump in 2021 and started my own business and joined a medical spa as well. Last year in 2025 I purchased a medical spa with seven rooms and for providers. It’s amazing Hill over the years a little dream to start your own business and change industries can grow into something so big! I’m now the owner of Transformed aesthetic and wellness in Frederick, Maryland
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Starting my own business in 2021 was so hard, I didn’t know how I was going to have the money to buy the products to get started, and worked really hard to gain the small client base that I could. I worked hard at my med, spas, learning and engaging with customers. The opportunity to purchase Transformed came up in 2024 and I was so excited for the opportunity, but it was quite a struggle and a journey to make it to 2025 to be a final purchase. We had financial trouble, we had staff turnover, we had Conflict in the workplace, and a lot of uncertainty. I trusted that it would work out and that I would be able to turn the business around and I was able to. It’s not 2026 and I am proud to say that I was successful and I’m so proud of myself and happy for my staff in my business.

Transformed aesthetic and wellness specializes in skin care, facials, lasers, Botox, filler, and any concerns you have for your skin or your body. We also specialize in hormone replacement and sexual wellness. We treat Perry menopause, menopause, and postpartum! I find that sexual wellness and hormone replacement are not something that is done everywhere and that is the most life-changing thing we offer at our practice. People come in every day and tell me how much better they feel and how much they feel like their old selves.
I love doing laser treatments because I can really improve the quality of someone skin and the way people view them in the world
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Aesthetics is definitely trending towards wellness. People are doing less filler and more collagen building treatments. People want to age, healthy and naturally and do not want to look fake. Also people are interested in peptides, hormones, and vitamins to make themselves feel better as they age. I see the industry trending towards regenerative medicine and wellness more and more over the next few years.
