Life & Work with Erica-Nichole Morla of Howard county

Today we’d like to introduce you to Erica-Nichole Morla.

Hi Erica-Nichole, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I got started when I was 4 years old. My grandmother signed me up to do a commercial with Michael Jordan and the Washington Wizards. Throughout my childhood and teens, I’d go on to dance, cheer, and other sports but kept a passion for modeling. I did commercials or print work here and there. In early adulthood I started doing music videos and editorial work in Baltimore, DC, Atlanta, and Vegas. I took a break due to multiple knee surgeries. During summer of 2025, I began modeling and brand ambassador work for clothing companies. I eventually developed a passion for marketing and creative directing.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road, at all. Lol the struggles of becoming a mom of three beautiful boys, beauty standards within the industry, and constantly moving has been my biggest struggles. However, i’ve always preserved and built a great support team wherever I went.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in creative direction/vision, marketing, and brand building. I am most known for modeling however and my ability to pose. I am proud of the career I’ve built while also juggling being a mom. I’m most proud of breaking into creative direction and vision, which has become a huge passion of mine. I feel like this is what I was meant to do. I believe my ability to create a vision in my head and follow through with it sets me apart from others.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was the quiet, shy smart kid, gifted classes. However, when I got on stage I lit up. My interests always included dancing and anything athletic. I don’t believe it was until college where I truly got interested in modeling.
