Life & Work with Ebonie Commey of Owings Mills

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ebonie Commey

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
It all started in 2020 during the pandemic. I was looking into something to keep me occupied and to share my homemade recipes, so I started an Instagram page and it has been up from there!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There was a little bit of a struggle. Sometimes I was concerned on the lack of engagement but I found out consistency is key! I was too wrapped up in numbers so I just let that go and the fun came!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I beat to my own drum, and what that means is I just do what feels and is fun to me. I don’t see my page as strictly a page in which I showcase only videos of me cooking. It also encompasses cafes and restaurants I have visited and the connections I am making. I also like to have fun so there’s a couple silly videos that I make too.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
I am a bonafide coffee lover!
