Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashleigh Bing.
Hi Ashleigh, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started my photography business in 2011 from a place of curiosity and storytelling. I have always been drawn to people, their energy, their milestones, and the way moments shape legacy. What began as simply wanting to take better photos quickly evolved into a deep commitment to documenting people in a way that feels honest, powerful, and elevated.
In the early days, I said yes to everything. Families, events, branding sessions, community projects. Each experience sharpened my eye and strengthened my understanding that photography is not just about beautiful images, it is about impact. It is about helping someone see themselves differently. It is about helping businesses present themselves with authority. It is about preserving stories that matter.
Over time, I became known for being detail-oriented, intentional, and highly organized in my process. That allowed me to grow from “someone who takes pictures” into a visual strategist for my clients. My work expanded into branding, documentary-style storytelling, and event coverage at a higher level. The business became less about shooting and more about building an experience.
Travel hosting came from a very similar place. I love exploring new cultures, but I also recognized how exhausting it can be to always be the planner. Especially for high-achieving adults who are used to carrying the load. I started curating international trips where people can simply show up. I handle the logistics, the structure, the cultural immersion, and the flow. They get to breathe.
Now, my work lives at the intersection of storytelling and experience. Through photography, I help people preserve their story. Through travel hosting, I help them live it.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road.
In the beginning, one of the biggest challenges was shifting from being creative to being a business owner. Photography is art, but running a photography company requires structure, pricing strategy, contracts, boundaries, marketing, and financial discipline. I had to learn how to value my work properly and not undercharge out of fear.
There were also seasons of inconsistency. Slow months. Clients ghosting. Investments that did not immediately return. Moments where I questioned whether I should pivot or scale back. Especially as a creative entrepreneur, you are constantly balancing vision with reality.
With travel hosting, the challenges look different. My responsibility is to make sure no one on my trips is ever wondering what is next. The planning has to be tight. The flow has to feel seamless. I am often blending seasoned world travelers with people who are brand new to international travel and others who are stepping far outside their comfort zone. That requires intention.
When you bring together a small group of people who may have never met, and they are sharing intimate time and experiences across the world, you have to create an environment where everyone feels safe, included, and like they belong. That does not happen by accident. It happens through thoughtful curation, clear communication, and strong leadership.
But every challenge sharpened me. I became more structured. More strategic. More confident in my value. I learned to build systems instead of operating off hustle alone. I learned that slow seasons are part of growth, not a signal to quit.
So no, it has not been smooth. But the friction is what built the foundation I stand on now.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
At the core, I am a storyteller and an experience curator.
Through my photography business, I specialize in lifestyle, branding, and documentary style imagery. I work with individuals, entrepreneurs, and organizations who understand that visuals are not just content, they are positioning. I am known for creating images that feel intentional, elevated, and honest. My clients often say I do not just take photos, I help them see themselves differently. Whether it is a personal milestone or a brand refresh, my goal is to create work that feels aligned and impactful.
On the travel side, I curate international group experiences for adults who are used to being the planners in their everyday lives. I design trips where they can simply show up and be present. The logistics are handled. The cultural immersion is thoughtful. The balance between structure and freedom is intentional. I am known for the level of detail I put into the flow of a trip and for creating spaces where strangers quickly feel like community.
What I am most proud of is the trust. People hire me to document their most important moments. People fly across the world with me. That level of trust is not small. It means I have built something that feels safe, organized, and worth the investment.
What sets me apart is the blend of creativity and structure. I am highly detail oriented and strategic, but I also understand energy. I can walk into a room and read it. I can guide a photoshoot or a group trip in a way that feels natural but is actually very intentional behind the scenes. That combination allows me to deliver experiences that feel effortless to the client, even though they are carefully designed.
How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
There are a few ways people can work with or support me, depending on what aligns with them.
If you are an individual or business looking to elevate how you are seen, you can work with me through my photography services (ashleighbingphotography.com). I offer branding sessions, lifestyle shoots, headshots, and documentary style coverage for events and organizations. I work closely with clients to understand not just what they need visually, but how those visuals will be used strategically.
If you are someone who loves travel or needs a break from being the planner in your life, you can join one of my curated international group trips. I handle the structure and flow so you can focus on being present and immersed in the experience (www.ashleighbingtravels.com).
And honestly, support does not always have to be financial. Sharing my work. Referring a friend. Engaging with my content. Recommending my trips to someone who needs them. That kind of support fuels growth in ways people do not always realize.
At the end of the day, if you care about intentional storytelling or meaningful travel experiences, there is probably a way for us to connect.
