Today we’d like to introduce you to Arrington Foster.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hey! My name is Arrington Foster. I am an actor from Clinton, Maryland. I began acting as a child doing various plays and musicals. The theater was definitely my outlet and where I found my passion for performing.
After high school, I went to Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX where I got my Bachelor of Arts in Theater and minor in Communication Studies in 2012. In 2015, I decided to make the big move to LA to pursue acting in film/TV. After doing a few National commercials such as Wells Fargo & Stein Mart and print gigs for Herbalife & Bank of America I had my first major audition in 2017. I landed the role of “Rio Duncan” on the hit TV series The Family Business on BET plus.
We originally aired on BET in November 2018. I am super blessed to be currently a series regular on the show and our upcoming anticipated third season will be airing on Oct 14th, 2021. I’m so proud to be representing the DMV and PG county and am looking forward to an amazing career here in Hollywood doing more tv shows and films!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely has never been an easy journey. This acting business is cutthroat and can be very challenging at times. Dealing with tons of no’s and rejections along with moving across the coast without family or friends is really hard. Staying true to your morals and values as well as navigating thru an industry where there isn’t a clear path.
Having to go through different agencies and managers, taking classes and new headshots, it’s never an overnight success story usually. There is blood sweat and tears and lots of prayers that go into it. But with God, an amazing support system, and the drive and passion to never give up and give it my 100% the skies are the limit!
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am an actor best known as “Rio Duncan” on BET’s The Family Business. I am definitely most proud of this show being that it’s my very first TV show. I believe I have not only the talent but also the personality that will sustain me in having longevity in this business. Hoping for many more TV shows and movies and awards down the road!
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I believe being humble, confident, ambitious, passionate, and determined has really helped me in my success. Knowing where I come from and not letting anyone discourage me from my dreams. Being open to criticism and hard work and enjoying the journey while doing it.

This is my younger brother and he is truly truly amazing. Although I am 10 years older he inspires me to be more ambitious and that dreams do come true. Even as a child Arrington was full of energy, life and as happy as can be. Arrington is proof the adversity can always be overcome and when you keep faith, the sky is not the limit but yet your ground. So proud of you Arrington and keep on keeping on. I love you
