Today we’d like to introduce you to Antonio Mosby.
Hi Antonio, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, you could tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ll speak just about my journey as far as entertainment goes. It started on January 22nd, 2015. I got on stage for the first time to perform stand-up comedy. I’ve always been the high energy that makes people around me laugh, but that’s the day I realized it could be more. Fast forward 6 months later, TNC ENT was formed, and I had my comedy team doing my shows. By 2019, I had an acting class and was bitten by the bug. I’ve been doing something with film or stage since that day. Now, here, where I officially wrapped up directing my first written project, I was also a lead actor in an award-winning feature film.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It was anything but smooth. I constantly push through life with all the problems and obstacles thrown at me. There have been times I wanted to quit, times I mentally gave up as I was depressed fighting to maintain my home and provide for my kids. My family was all over the place, but I never gave up, and it helped me to push through my traumas and triumphs. It allowed me to see I have a bigger purpose. It was and is my therapy.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a business owner—a stand-up comedian. An actor, writer, director of film and stage plays. To sum it up, I am simply an entertainer. I am authentically myself; on stage, I speak about who Antonio is or was. I speak in my writing and all, so someone can say damn, I too can push past this. I, too, can survive and thrive; I, too, can LIVE.
Let’s end by discussing what matters most to you and why.
Mental health. After many battles with depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts, I appreciate my journey, and I want my kids and the world to understand someone cares. Someone loves them.
